Atrium Health

The Atrium Health Pineville Bed Tower project is a recent example of a successful TVD.  Four (4) 45,000-CFM custom air handlers were included as part of the buyout. The AHU’s were within the limits of cost for their respective TVD “bucket”. MSS identified a $100,000 savings (approximately 7% of the AHU bucket) by using a proprietary fan technology (once the AHU manufacturer was on board), which not only maintained the performance of the schedule and specifications but provided the added value of quieter operation, and long term operational and energy savings. MSS prepared all the information for proper decision making, and the major stakeholders of the Core Team included the Owner, Engineer, Architect, GC, Electrician, AHU manufacturer, and CX agent.
